In support of the upcoming, landmark Oklahoma Legislative Interim Study on November 1st,
Tamera Stewart, Policy Director & Julia Heath, Director of Medical Initiatives
urgently request your assistance to ensure this event reaches its potential level of national importance! This Interim Study is the culmination of a deep dive investigation into outcomes for patients with pain and the practitioners caring for them, resulting from previous years of legislative changes that restricted opioid prescribing in an attempt to address the opioids crisis. This 90 minute presentation to the Oklahoma Alcohol, Tobacco, and Controlled Substances Committee will consist of national and state experts discussing their views on this issue and suggesting solutions based on their professional experiences, and will give impacted patients in Oklahoma a chance to share their experiences as well. P3Alliance will be hosting organizers, speakers, and guests of this event to a light lunch from 12:00pm - 12:45pm. Additionally, we have received confirmation that multiple media will attend this important event, then join us in House of Representatives Floor Leader Jon Echols’s Conference room following these presentations for questions, interviews and refreshments - also hosted by P3Alliance. We are excited and honored to be involved! But WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT for this monumental event to succeed in finally bringing to light patient outcomes resulting from policies created to address the opioid crisis that resulted in rapid de-prescribing. We are anticipating far reaching implications from this Interim Study, as the Oklahoma Legislators responsible for this event - Representatives John Talley from district 33, Ty Burns from district 35, and Preston Stinson from district 96 - have secured the participation of nationally respected speakers Dr. Beth Darnall, Dr. Vanila Singh, and Zach Rhoads, as well as local law enforcement, physicians, and pain patients. Each expert's presentation, all submitted documentations, the video of the patients panel, and any questions the committee asks the experts and patients will be on the official record and available for use in every state. This means the potential for positive impact from this state sponsored official investigation is limitless.
HELP P3ALLIANCE SUCCEED IN MAKING THIS IMPORTANT EVENT ALL IT CAN BE. Please reach down deep and give the most generous donation possible TODAY, as this monumental event is less than 1 week away.
Our needs include covering the cost of food and drinks before and after the event for up to 75 guests, printing of banners and the packet to leave with the committee that will become part of the official committee record for future reference, and travel expenses for multiple participants. Outside of 2 broad fundraisers, we have funded all the events and progress out of our own pockets…Imagine the impact we can have with your financial support!!
